Operations Associate
Redwood Investment Management is seeking an Operations Associate to join the firm’s operations team in our Scottsdale, AZ office. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, service-minded, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in investment operations, advisor support, account administration, trading workflows, and platform management.
The Operations Associate will help support Redwood’s advisor relationships, client service efforts, trading operations, account maintenance, cash management, billing processes, and platform-related workflows. This position will work closely with Redwood’s internal team, RIA partners, custodians, and third-party platforms to help ensure a high level of service, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support Redwood’s operations team in day-to-day account administration and advisor-client service needs
- Assist with trade requests, trading workflows, cash management, and account maintenance
- Help service direct advisor relationships as well as sub-advisory and advisory relationships
- Work with RIA partners across various custodial and reporting platforms, including Schwab, Fidelity, Black Diamond, and other investment technology systems
- Assist with opening, maintaining, and updating client accounts across multiple platforms
- Help process deposits, withdrawals, model changes, cash raises, investment changes, and other advisor requests
- Support billing, reconciliation, reporting, and operational review processes
- Assist with maintaining Redwood strategies across advisory platforms and partner relationships
- Communicate with advisors, custodians, platform providers, and internal team members to resolve operational items in a timely and professional manner
- Help ensure client and advisor requests are handled accurately, efficiently, and with a strong service mindset
- Identify operational issues, discrepancies, or process gaps and escalate them appropriately
- Contribute to process improvements that support firm growth, advisor satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in finance, business, economics, accounting, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on time-sensitive requests
- Interest in investment management, financial services, advisory platforms, and client service
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general office technology
- Familiarity with Schwab, Fidelity, Black Diamond, Orion, Envestnet or similar platforms is a plus but not required
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, advisors, custodians, and external partners
- Professional, service-oriented mindset with a focus on advisor and client satisfaction
- Ability to learn new systems, processes, and operational workflows quickly
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internship or work experience in financial services, investment operations, wealth management, client service, or an RIA environment
- Familiarity with custodial platforms, trading processes, account paperwork, billing, or portfolio reporting systems
- Basic understanding of investment accounts, model portfolios, ETFs, mutual funds, and advisor-client relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working through operational issues or data discrepancies
